IRC Director, Kai Vetter, and two UC Berkeley graduate students, Ryan Pavlovsky and Kyle Bilton, participated in two symposia, hosted by Hiroshima University’s Phoenix Program.
Dr. Vetter, Ryan and Kyle presented talks and posters at the 2nd Symposium of the Phoenix Leader Education Program Industry-Academia-Government Consortium for Human Resource Development, held in Tokyo on Feb 9th, and at the 6th International Symposium of the Phoenix Leader Education Program (Hiroshima Initiative) for Renaissance from Radiation Disaster from Feb 11 -12, held at Hiroshima University.

Both symposia featured speakers from across the globe, representing different nuclear organizations and institutions, as well as a cadre of international students.
Ryan Pavlovsky won the Best Student Presentation Award, which was judged by all of the distinguished international speakers.
