From October 5 – 9, IRC Director, Kai Vetter attended the Science and Technology in Society Forum in Kyoto Japan, and presented on research conducted by the IRC and his Applied Nuclear Physics research group at LBNL.
On October 7th, he presented a talk at the Tokyo Institute of Technology on “New Concepts in Radiation Detection Relevant for Research and Society,” and continued to engage with TiTech students, some of whom visited UC Berkeley and LBNL in September.
On October 8, 2015 he presented at UC Berkeley & Berkeley Club of Japan Seminar on “Zero is Impossible: Challenges and Opportunities to Enhance Community Resilience with Focus on the Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant Accident.”
