IRC Deputy, Rebecca Abergel, presented the Institute’s research results at the Radiation Research Society Meeting

IRC Deputy Director, Rebecca Abergel presented on, “Monitoring and Predicting the Impact of Exposure to Cesium 137 in the Aftermath of Fukushima,” at the annual Radiation Research Society Meeting on September 19 in Weston, Florida.

Her presentation highlighted collaborative work with Japanese partners, including the Japanese Atomic Energy Agency, the National Institute of Radiological Sciences, the University of Tokyo, and Koriyama City on research conducted under the four pillars of the IRC: Assessment and Monitoring, Modeling and Flux Prediction, Remediation, and Health Effects.

Dr. Abergel leads research efforts in the IRC’s Health Effects pillar.
